The Museum of Polygnotos Vagis is dedicated and named after the famous sculptor Polygnotos Vagis who was born and grew up on the island of Thassos. The museum exhibits 98 works of sculpture and 15 paintings from the period 1920-1960.

The Folclore Museum Hadzigiorgis is located in the mountainous village of Theologos of Thassos. Theologos was one of the most important villages of the island and for many years the community power of the island.

The “Palataki” of the Thassos Mining Complex was built in the early 1900s and designed by the Italian architect Pietro Arigoni. It is considered the most impressive of all the administration buildings of the Aegean islands.

The Archaeological Museum of Thassos will welcome you upon your entrance with the impressive statue of Kouros, 3.50 meters high from the Archaic era, (600 BC) the guided tour of the Museum begins the history of the island from the Bronze Age ( 3,500-1500 BC) until the early Christian times.
